Kingston, NY – James Maloney, Vice Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature, sponsored a Proposed Local Law that, when adopted, will make it easier for Cold War Veterans to maintain eligibility for a property tax exemption.
“Ulster County is indebted to all our Veterans for the sacrifices they have made on behalf of Ulster County’s residents as well as the entire country”, Maloney stated. “I want to ensure we grant the maximum exemption allowable under New York State Real Property Tax Law.”

Kingston – Legislator Craig Lopez, District 14, will be hosting an Emergency Preparedness Training on November 1, 2017 for anyone who wishes to attend.
“Since elected in 2011 one of my top priorities has been to ensure that our first responders have the proper resources needed to protect themselves and keep our community safe,” Lopez said. “One of the best things Ulster County residents can do to assist our first responders during emergencies is to be prepared ourselves,” he continued.
