Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Kenneth Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services

(BOCES) has requested a Deputy Sheriff be assigned as a School Resource Officer

(SRO) at its Center for Alternative Education; and

 

WHEREAS, BOCES will pay Ulster County an amount not less than

$46,350.00 for the services of the part-time Deputy Sheriff assigned as the School

Resource Officer; and

WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall be July 1, 2014 through June 30,

2015; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to sign an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the Ulster

County Board of Cooperative Educational Services to provide a Deputy Sheriff to

serve as a School Resource Officer for the term July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015,

in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified

with the approval of the County Attorney and Chairman of the Ulster County

Legislature,

 

and move its adoption.
