Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning and Transit

Committee, Thomas J. Briggs, and Deputy Chairman James F. Maloney offer the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Employment and Training; and

WHEREAS, the Director of the Ulster County Department of Employment

and Training requests that the 2014 Ulster County Budget be amended to accept an

additional $232,025.00 in funding under the Federal Workforce Investment Act

(CFDA #17.258, 17.259, 17.278) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

(CFDA #93.558) allocations; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Employment and Training will subsidize

occupational skills education, on-the-job training services and its Summer Youth

Employment Program with these funds; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2014 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

BB-2980-4300-4505 Other Fees Prof Services $ 45,000.00

BB-2980-4600-4660 Other Misc. Contractual Expenses $187,025.00

BB-2980-3400-4790 Federal Aid $232,025.00

and, be it further

RESOLVED, if funding for this program is eliminated, the program will be

eliminated as well,

and move its adoption.
