Tom is an employee of the Town of Marlborough for over 16 years, serving as the building inspector, fire inspector and zoning officer. His years of attendance at town board meetings, planning and zoning board meetings, and his appointments to multiple committees has kept him current on the needs and challenges facing Marlborough residents every day. His extensive education and training in New York State Building and Fire Codes provides a unique perspective on the effects state rules and regulations have on local governments across the state.
Tom is looking forward to bringing all of that knowledge and experience to the Ulster County Legislature with a focus on collaborating with other government leaders to best serve the Town of Marlborough, and all Ulster County residents.
Prior to his work with the Town of Marlborough, Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from SUNY New Paltz and was a successful small business owner for over 25 years. He understands firsthand the needs of local businesses, the importance of local labor, and the significance of local spending in supporting our communities.
Tom also finds time to participate in the community as an active volunteer member of the Marlborough Youth Baseball, Softball, Football & Cheerleading organizations. He coaches baseball and football in the Marlboro Central School District and serves on the board of directors for the Hudson Valley Code Enforcement Officials Education Conference.
A proud father of two children, Tommy and Shannon, and married for 30 years to his loving wife Colleen, who also serves the community as the Town of Marlborough Town Clerk, Tom is looking forward to starting a new chapter as the District 11 Representative in the Ulster County Legislature.
