Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has notified Ulster County that Agricultural District No. 3 in the Towns of Hardenburgh, Marbletown, Olive, Rosendale, Rochester, and Wawarsing is approaching its eight-year anniversary date of July 21, 2025; and

 WHEREAS, Agriculture and Markets Law Article 25AA, Section 303-a requires the County to cause a review of the District to be conducted and completed prior to the July 21, 2025 anniversary date; and

WHEREAS, as part of the review, Agriculture and Markets Law Article 25AA requires a public hearing to be held concerning the review of the district and any proposed modifications to the district; and

WHEREAS, Agricultural Markets Law Article 25AA Section 303-a requires that the Public Hearing be held before the county legislative body makes a finding on whether the District should be continued, terminated or modified; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that said public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 7:05 PM in the Legislative Chambers, Ulster County Office Building, 6th Floor, 244 Fair Street, Kingston, New York; and, be it further

 RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Ulster County shall cause a legal notice of said public hearing to be published and distributed according Agricultural and Markets Law Sections 303-a,  

and moves its adoption.
