Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

WHEREAS, the Onteora Central School District has requested an additional Deputy Sheriff to be assigned as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at a location as requested by the District; and

WHEREAS, The Onteora Central School District will pay Ulster County an amount not less than $58,801.00 for the services of the additional Deputy Sheriff assigned as the School Resource Officer; and

WHEREAS, the term of the agreement for a second Ulster County Deputy Officer shall be January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an amendment to the agreement with the Onteora Central School District to provide an additional Deputy Sheriff to serve as a School Resource Officer for the term January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, 

and moves its adoption.
