Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and
WHEREAS, Ulster County Probation Department, Crime Victims Assistance Program has been awarded $17,447.00 from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (NYS DCJS) to receive Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) for the period July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the NYS DCJS SASP award is to support rape crisis centers that provide core services, direct intervention, and related assistance to victims of sexual assault, regardless of age; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a contract #T652336, and any amendments thereto, with the Division of Criminal Justice Services for the Sexual Assault Services Program grant in the amount of $17,447.00 for the term July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and moves its adoption.
