Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, offers the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

WHEREAS,  the approved 2025 – 2030 Capital Improvement Program includes a project entitled Axon Taser Replacement in the amount of $550,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff is requesting to establish Capital Project No. 729 for the funding year of 2025 for the purpose of replacing Axon Tasers; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff has obtained quotes for Axon Taser replacements in the amount of $588,404.00 over five-years; and

WHEREAS, with the addition of contingency for unanticipated costs of $58,841.00; and

WHEREAS, the quote includes a first year cost of $130,816.00, followed by a cost of $114,397 for each subsequent year; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2025-2030 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is amended as follows:

RESOLVED, that the Capital Program No. 729 be established as follows:

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows:

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as follows:
