Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

          WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Division of Weights and Measures; and

 

          WHEREAS, the Ulster County Director of Weights and Measures has requested that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an agreement (NYS Contract# C012660) with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for funding for the Petroleum Products Quality Testing Program; and

         

          WHEREAS, the funding will be utilized for conducting inspections, performing screening tests, and sampling fuel stored at retail fuel outlets; and

 

          WHEREAS, the agreement covers a five-year period, from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2029; and

 

          WHEREAS, this agreement provides $11,826.00 in annual funding to Ulster County, for a five-year period beginning in 2014; now, therefore be it

 

          RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for the Petroleum Products Quality Testing Program (NYS Contract# C012660) for the period April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2029, in the amount of $59,130.00 ($11,826.00 annually), in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
