Chair of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Kathy Nolan, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the approved 2025 – 2030 Capital Improvement Program includes a project titled, “DPW Department Relocation Management” totaling $3,000,000.00, and an annual appropriation of $500,000.00 in 2025 for medium scale interior and exterior projects; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2023, the Ulster County Department of Public Works developed a long-term strategy for maximizing use of county-owned offices while improving and preserving public assets, services and infrastructure; and

 

WHEREAS, the County intends to move departments into the new Workforce Innovation Center in 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works is requesting funds in order to prepare the office space for said moves; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 711 – DPW Department Relocation Management is hereby established as follows:

and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Capital Fund budget is hereby amended as follows:
