Chairman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Chris Hewitt, Deputy Chair Richard Walls, and Legislator Corcoran offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Finance, Division of Recovery and Resilience; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature passed Resolution No. 78 of 2023 establishing and funding capital project Number 674 in the amount of two million five hundred dollars ($2,500,000.00) to establish a program to partner with Ulster County municipalities and match up to 50% of the net cost of each solar infrastructure or EV charging project with a maximum contribution of $100,000.00 per project; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Town of Hurley (the “Town”) desire to enter into an Inter Municipal Agreement (IMA) where the Town will be a recipient of Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) of Ulster County funds; and
WHEREAS the Town will be responsible under the IMA for administering a program to replace an EV charging station at the Town of Hurley Parking Lot; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Inter Municipal Agreement with the Town of Hurley to partially fund the replacement of an EV charging station at the Town of Hurley Parking Lot in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and move its adoption.
