Chairman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Chris Hewitt, and Deputy Chair Richard Walls offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Finance, Division of Recovery and Resilience; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature passed Resolution No. 78 of 2023 establishing and funding Capital Project Number 674 in the amount of two million five hundred dollars ($2,500,000.00) to establish a program to partner with Ulster County municipalities and match up to 50% of the net cost of each solar infrastructure or EV charging project with a maximum contribution of $100,000.00 per project; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Town of Marlborough (the “Town”) desire to enter into an Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) where the Town will be a recipient of Ninety-Five Thousand Nine Hundred Ten Dollars ($95,910.00) of Ulster County funds; and
WHEREAS the Town will be responsible under the IMA for administering a program to install solar panels at the Town of Marlborough Community Center; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Inter Municipal Agreement with the Town of Marlborough to partially fund the installation of solar panels at the Town of Marlborough Community Center in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and moves its adoption.
