Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

            WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has requested use of the Firearms Range belonging to the Town of Ulster; and

 

            WHEREAS, The Town of Ulster will allow the use of its Firearms Range located on Ulster Landing Road at no cost, limited to the stipulations of contract; and

 

            WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall be January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025; now, therefore, be it

 

            RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign a memorandum of agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Ulster to provide use of the Town of Ulster’s Firearms Range at no cost to the County, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,           

 

and moves its adoption.
