Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 684, dated December 6, 2023, approved the advancement of capital projects for the Ulster County Community College that were included in the approved 2024-2029 Ulster County Capital Improvement program; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 149, dated April 16, 2019, approved the establishment and funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of 153,000; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 569, dated December 21, 2021, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of 100,000; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 347, dated July 19, 2022, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of 340,000; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 332, dated June 13, 2023, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of 300,000; and
WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has many equipment and vehicles that are old, and need to be replaced with the new “green fleet” vehicles and equipment to ensure that campus maintenance staff have adequate equipment to maintain the roads, sidewalks, grounds and parking lots; and
WHEREAS, the $250,000 cost to replace facilities equipment for campus facilities in 2024 would be divided as follows: $125,000 State and $125,000 Ulster County; and
WHEREAS, the 2024-2029 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program included funding of $250,000 for SUNY Ulster Facilities Equipment; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 541 is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 541 Facilities Equipment $250,000.00
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
HH.2497.0541-2100.2120 Vehicles & Equipment $250,000.00
