Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the present lease agreement between the County and Family Services, INC., 29 North Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, for offices located at 239 Golden Hill Lane, Kingston, NY (the “Premises”) will expire on December 31, 2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into a lease agreement with Family Services, INC. to lease 4,561 square feet of office space on the first floor of the Premises, for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2024, and ending December 31, 2028, at a cost of $12.00/square foot, totaling $54,732.00 annually, with all utilities and taxes included; and

         

WHEREAS, the County of Ulster shall have the option to terminate the lease for any reason or for no reason, upon sixty (60) days written notice; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement and any amendments thereto, with Family Services, INC., 29 North Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, for offices located at 239 Golden Hill Lane, Kingston, NY, for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2024, and ending December 31, 2028, at a cost of $12.00/square foot, totaling $54,732.00 annually, with all utilities and taxes included, as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, 

 

and moves its adoption.
