Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, Access: Supports For Living Inc. (“Access”) is a domestic not-for-profit corporation which has supported the families and communities of the Hudson Valley by providing services for people facing the challenges of disability and mental illness for over 50 years; and 

 

WHEREAS, the present lease agreement between the County and Access for office space housing the mobile mental health team at the premises located at 239 Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, NY (“Golden Hill Office Building”) expires on October 31, 2023, and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested authorization for the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into a new five-year lease agreement with Access to occupy 207 square feet of office space at Golden Hill for the term beginning November 1, 2023 and ending October 31, 2028 at a cost of $11.00/square foot, totaling $2,277.00 annually for the term of said lease; and

 

WHEREAS, the County of Ulster shall have the option to terminate the lease for any reason or for no reason, upon sixty (60) days written notice; now, therefore be it 

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Access: Supports For Living Inc., and any amendments thereto for office space at 239 Golden Hill Lane, Kingston New York for a five-year term beginning November 1, 2023 and ending October 31, 2028, as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, 

 

and moves its adoption.
