Chairwoman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Manna Jo Greene, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of the Environment; and

 

          WHEREAS, Resolution No. 307 of 2022 authorizedthe Department of the Environment to utilize the combined NYSERDA CEC Program grants funds of $45,000 to complete the weatherization project at the Carr building (1 Pearl St.) and the Department of the Environment (17 Pearl St.), to include air sealing and insulation improvements per the recommendations in the NYSERDA energy audit; and

 

          WHEREAS, Resolution No. 468 of 2022 authorized the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into an agreement with the New York State Department Of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) to accept grant funds for the Ulster County Community Climate Action Plan Project in the amount of $74,000; and

 

          WHEREAS, the previously authorized funding was not expensed or reimbursed in prior budget years and this funding is not included in the 2023 operating budget; and

 

          WHEREAS, no additional County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore be it

 

          RESOLVED, that the 2023 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
