Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution will allow the Probation Department to accept funding from New York State Department Criminal Justice Services to continue the Alternative to Incarceration Pretrial & Community Service/Work Release programs; and
WHEREAS, amending contract C523961 will allow the Department of Probation to accept $61,769.00 for the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, to fund the continuation of the Alternative to Incarceration program, allocating $36,714.00 to Pretrial Services and $25,055.00 to Community Service/Work Release; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the period July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2024, in the amount of $432,383.00, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney in consultation with the Chair of the Legislature and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee,
and move its adoption.
