Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 149, dated April 16, 2019, approved the establishment and funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $153,000; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 569, dated December 21, 2021, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $100,000; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 347, dated July 19, 2022, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $340,000; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has many equipment and vehicles that are old, and need to be replaced with new “green fleet” vehicles and equipment to ensure that campus maintenance staff have adequate equipment to maintain the roads, sidewalks, grounds and parking lots; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved an increase in funding in the amount of $300,000 for SUNY Ulster – Facilities Equipment Capital Project via Resolution No. 23-05-10, at the Board of Trustees meeting held on May 16, 2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the $300,000 cost to replace facilities equipment for campus facilities in 2023 would be divided as follows: $150,000 State and $150,000 Ulster County; and

 

 

 

WHEREAS, the 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program included funding of $300,000 for SUNY Ulster Facilities Equipment; now, therefore be it

 

 RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 541 – SUNY Ulster Facilities Equipment is hereby increased as follows:
