Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

WHEREAS, the Onteora Central School District has drafted an MOU for the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office to access their Closed Circuit TV recordings in the event of an emergency at the School requiring Sheriff’s personnel involvement; and

 

 WHEREAS, this MOU does not require funding by either the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office or the Onteora Central School District; and  

 

WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall be September 1, 2023 through June 30, 2028; now, therefore be it

 

 RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the Onteora Central School District to provide the Sheriff’s Office access to the Closed Circuit TV files in possession of the School District during the term September 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney and Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature,

 

and move its adoption.
