Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature appropriated to the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District the sum of $91,500.00 in the 2022 Ulster County Budget; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District has requested an increase bringing the total appropriation request for 2023 to $131,500.00; and

           

WHEREAS, pursuant to County Law Section 223 (1), in order to receive such funds, the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District must submit to the Ulster County Legislature a verified accounting of disbursements to be undertaken, and to the Legislative Financial Analyst and the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance, a Memorandum of Receipt signed by the principal officer; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement in the amount of $91,500.00  $131,500.00, to be expended towards the costs associated with operations of the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, Counsel to the County Legislature, Chair of the County Legislature, and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the Comptroller and/or any and all officers of the County of Ulster, their agents and repre­sentatives, shall be allowed full access upon reason­able notice and at reasonable times to the books, papers, records and premises of the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District during the period that this Resolution is in effect for the purpose of ascertaining the manner in which the above sum of money is being used or applied; and, be it further

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the above organization agrees to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local regula­tions including, in particular, any forbidding discrimina­tion by such organization,

 

and move its adoption.
