Referred to: The Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee (Chairwoman Petit and Legislators Fabiano, Litts, Nolan, and Stewart), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Cahill, Fabiano, Ronk, and Walter)
Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 595 was established pursuant to Resolution No. 314 dated July 20, 2021, in the amount of $200,000.00 for the Design of the Courthouse Fascia, Exterior Repairs & Roof Replacements; and
WHEREAS, the county courthouse is in need of exterior repairs including windows, fascia, and roof work; and
WHEREAS, repairs to this building are required to maintain the useful life of the facility; and
WHEREAS, the design consultant has proposed additional work including roofing probes not originally anticipated in their contract; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project No. 595 be amended to increase the funding available for design services in the amount of $65,000.00 for a total project cost of $265,000.00; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the 2022-2027 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 595 Courthouse Repairs $65,000.00
and be it further,
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 595 for the Courthouse Fascia, Exterior Repairs & Roof Replacement is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 595 Courthouse Repairs $65,000.00
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Capital Fund budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
HH.1997.0595-4300.4355 Engineering Services $65,000.00
