Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the County is currently leasing office space from 935 Associates LLC, located at 535 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY, 12401, for the County’s Office of Employment and Training (“OET”) and the New York State Department of Labor (“NYSDOL”); and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 362 of August 20, 2019 authorized the execution of a government entity lease disclosure sheet, which was required for New York State to draft a sublease for NYSDOL; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desired to enter into a sublease with New York State Office of General Services (“NYSOGS”) to reimburse the cost of office space that have been occupied by NYSDOL since November of 2017; now, therefore be it

 

 RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, the Memorandum of Understanding, and any amendments thereto, with the State of New York, Office of General Services, which memorandum will allow the State Department of Labor to use a portion of the 535 Boices Lane lease for a period ending on October 31, 2022 at a rate of $84,422.34 per year, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
