Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, John Gavaris, and Deputy Chair Kenneth J. Ronk, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section A3-4(J) of the Ulster County Administrative Code, the County Executive has negotiated a collective bargaining agreement between the County and the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc.; and

 

WHEREAS, the agreement is for the period January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024; and

 

WHEREAS, the contract results in a $5.70 across the board increase to the DPW salary schedule in 2020, a 3.5% increase in base salary on December 31, 2020, a 3.5% increase in base salary on April 1, 2021, a 2% increase in base salary plus a $0.25 increase on January 1, 2022 with an increase in longevity payments, a 2% increase in base salary plus a $.25 increase on January 1, 2023, and a 2% increase in base salary plus a $0.25 increase on January 1, 2024, with an increase in longevity payments; and

           

WHEREAS, pursuant to section A2-5(9) of the Ulster County Administrative Code, all labor contracts must be approved by the County Legislature; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the Memorandum of Agreement covering the period January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024, between the County of Ulster and the Ulster County Civil Service Employees Association; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ulster County Civil Service Employees Association, in accordance with the executed Memorandum of Agreement; and be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2021 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended pursuant to the schedule on file with the Clerk of the Legislature, and be it further

 

 

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED, the Commissioner of Finance is hereby authorized to make any and all budget adjustments necessary to transfer and appropriate the necessary funds into the appropriate budget lines,

 

and move its adoption.
