Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the county courthouse is in need of exterior repairs including windows, fascia, and roof work; and

WHEREAS, repairs to this building are required to maintain the useful life of the facility; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works will contract with an outside vendor for the design of this project; and

            WHEREAS, the project expenditures in the amount of $5,000,000.00 for the Courthouse Fascia, Exterior Repairs & Roof Replacement, were approved in the 2021 – 2026 Capital Program; and

            WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project No. 595 be established and funded for design work; now, therefore be it

            RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 595 for the Courthouse Fascia, Exterior Repairs & Roof Replacement is hereby established as follows:

and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2021 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
