Referred to: The Public Works and Capital Projects Committee (Chairman Fabiano and Legislators Cahill, Greene, Heppner, and Litts), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Archer, Bartels, Haynes, Maio, Parete, Ronk, and Walter)
Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the 2021-2026 Capital Improvement Program contains a Fairgrounds Improvements Capital Project to fund design for infrastructure improvements at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in the amount of $129,180.00; and
WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 550 was established pursuant to Resolution No. 365 dated August 20, 2019, in the amount of $90,000.00 for the design of an upgrade to the Fair Grounds septic, gray water, domestic water, and water storage systems; and
WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 550 was amended pursuant to Resolution No. 115 dated March 17, 2020, in the amount of $28,400.00 for a total project cost of $118,400 to include additional design services for the north end campground; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project No. 550 be further amended to increase the funding available for design services for development of a disinfection system for the Fairgrounds’ sand filter waste water discharge as required by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in the amount of $14,500.00, and a total project cost of $132,900.00; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the 2021 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
