Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Peter J. Criswell offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the County’s Department of Social Services; and

          WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has received notification from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) of the allocation of $5,263 in funding from the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) for the improvement of the Family Assessment Response Program; and

          WHEREAS, the funds will be used exclusively to provide families with access to short-term or one-time goods and/or services to meet their needs to help keep their children safe and to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect; and

          WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2020 Ulster County Budget is necessary; and

          WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it

          RESOLVED, that the 2020 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
