Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Peter J. Criswell offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Health, and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Health requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute a five-year contract (CAT-490) and any future amendments thereto with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection commencing upon execution, in the amount not to exceed $150,000.00, to continue delegation of administration of Section 18-38 of the Watershed Regulations, and

         

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Health reviews and issues written determinations for all new subsurface sewage treatment systems and for all altered, modified, or remediated sewage treatment systems serving Ulster County Department of Health permitted facilities located in the portion of the watershed of the New York City water supply situated within Ulster County; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a five-year contract (CAT-490) and any future amendments thereto with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection commencing upon execution, in the amount not to exceed $150,000.00, to continue delegation of administration of Section 18-38 of the Watershed Regulations, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or modified with the approval of the County Attorney, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that if funding for this program is eliminated, the program will be eliminated as well,

 

and move its adoption.
