Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5 of Local Law Number 3 of 2019, The Ulster County Electrical Licensing Law, a Board known as the "Ulster County Electrical Licensing Board" was established consisting of nine (9) individuals who reside in Ulster County; and

 

WHEREAS, members of the Board are appointed by the County Executive for staggered terms, subject to confirmation by the County Legislature; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to The Ulster County Electrical Licensing Law, the Commissioner of Public Works shall be a non-voting member of the Board; and

 

            WHEREAS, the County Executive has made the following appointments:

 

One (1) individual who is qualified as an Electrical Inspector in New York State:

            Terry Munoz-Weaver, for a term of present through 12/31/2020;

 

One (1) member representing the licensing board of the City of Kingston:

James Sass, for a term of present through 12/31/2021;

 

One (1) union contractor who shall be a licensed Master Electrician:

Scott McCarthy, for a term of present through 12/31/2021;

 

One (1) open shop contractor who shall be a licensed Master Electrician:

Tom Nash, for a term of present through 12/31/2022;

 

Two (2) members of the public:

Chris Peone, for a term of present through 12/31/2022

Dominick Ferrante, Jr., for a term of present through 12/31/2022;

 

One (1) representative from the Association of Supervisors and Mayors of UC: 

Jeanne Walsh, Rosendale Town Supervisor; and

 

WHEREAS, Chairman David B. Donaldson has made the following appointment:

 

 

 

 

One (1) County Legislator designated by the Chairman of the Legislature:

Legislator John Parete

 

now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the appointments of the above mentioned individuals as members of the Ulster County Electrical Licensing Board for the terms indicated above,

 

and moves its adoption.
