Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian J. Woltman, and Deputy Chair Lynn Archer offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Planning; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 503 of 2017, the Ulster County Legislature established Capital Project No. 479 to authorize and fund engineering work for the Ulster County Midtown Linear Park (the “Project”); and

 

WHEREAS, the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (“Community Foundations”) has awarded $1,000,000.00 in grant funding for the Project to offset the County’s local share of the Project and to fund enhancements; and

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County is required to enter into a grant agreement with the Community Foundations for the awarded funding; now, therefore, be it

 

            RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement and any related amendments with Community Foundations for grant funding for the Ulster County Midtown Linear Park project, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the Director of Planning and Deputy Director of Planning are hereby authorized to submit all necessary grant-related documentation for the purposed of implementing the awarded grant funding,

 

and move its adoption.
