Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian J. Woltman, and Deputy Chair Lynn Archer offer the following:

 

           WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Transportation; and

 

             WHEREAS, the Town of Shandaken (the “Town”) operates a summer day camp in Pine Hill and desires to provide a transportation option for campers; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Department of Public Transportation wishes to enter into a memorandum of agreement (the “Agreement”) with the Town to provide such a transportation option; and

 

            WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, UCAT will transport campers for the summer recreation program along Route 28 on the “Z” bus route at a rate of $1.35 per ride (which includes a 10% discount), which will be paid by the Town of Shandaken; and

 

              WHEREAS, the total estimated revenue for 2019 is $3,000.00, based on an average of ridership over past years; now, therefore be it

 

               RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement and any related amendments with the Town of Shandaken to provide transportation to Shandaken summer day camp students in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
