Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services

Committee, David B. Donaldson, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes, offer the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Ulster County Community College (“UCCC”); and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 259, dated June 19, 2018, authorized the

Chairman of The Ulster County Legislature to enter into an agreement with the

Dormitory Authority Of The State of New York (“DASNY”) for project management

services at UCCC; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 261, dated June 19, 2018, established Capital

Project 527 – Classroom Renovations - SUNY Ulster in the amount of $435,284.00;

and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 315, dated July 17, 2018, approved a work order

with DASNY for design and procurement services related to capital project No. 527

– Classroom Renovations - SUNY Ulster; and

WHEREAS, UCCC and the County is now formally requesting project

management services from DASNY; and

WHEREAS, the SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved Work Order

Number 2018-002 – Classroom Renovations (the “Work Order”) via resolution #18-

10-194, at the Board of Trustees meeting held on October 16, 2018; and

WHEREAS, such Work Order totals $435,284.00 (inclusive of DASNY Fee

for Design of $0), which will be divided as follows: $217,642.00 State and

$217,642.00 Ulster County; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves

the Work Order for the provision of project management services related to the

Classroom Renovations at SUNY Ulster,

and move its adoption.
