Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Mary Beth

Maio, and Deputy Chair Julius Collins offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Public Defender has requested that the Chairman of the

Ulster County Legislature be authorized to enter into an agreement with the New

York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the purpose of Ulster County’s

participation in the New York State Aid to Defense Project No: AD18-1026-D00,

for the period October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New

York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the purpose of Ulster County’s

participation in the New York Aid to Defense Project No. AD18-1026-D00, for the

period October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019, in the form as filed with the

Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the

County Attorney in consultation with the Chairman of the Legislature and the

Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety

Committee,

and move its adoption.
