Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 164 and 165 of March 15, 2016 established and

funded Capital Project Nos. 476 - 478; for the 2016 Bridge Replacement Program

comprising of the Ort Todd Bridge #86 (CP No. 476), Jesse Wolven Bridge #64 (CP

No. 477) and Woodland Valley Bridge #133 (CP No. 478); and

WHEREAS, the maximum estimated cost for the program was authorized for

$673,000.00; and

WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 476, the Ort Todd Bridge has been completed

on time and under budget by $39,000.00; and

WHEREAS, after receipt of sealed competitive bids, the cost of the concrete

deck panels for the Woodland Valley Bridge (CP #478) came in higher than

anticipated creating an increase to the project of $37,000.00; and

WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the Commissioner of Finance to

transfer funds between these projects; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests Capital Project No.

478 be amended by transferring funds from Capital Project No. 476 to reflect an

increase to the cost of the project in the amount of $37,000.00; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Finance be authorized to transfer

funds between these projects when bids are opened and as reconstruction progresses;

and, be it further 

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as

follows:
