Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, Ulster Prevention Council, a program of Family Services, Inc,

has been a New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services

(OASAS) funded initiative in Ulster County for the past ten years; and

WHEREAS, Ulster Prevention Council had sought satellite office space that

provides accessibility to the Ellenville/Wawarsing/Kerhonkson area to better

outreach to and address the diverse needs of communities in the southern portion of

Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, Family Services, Inc, has been leasing 108 square feet of office

space from the County at Trudy Resnick Farber Center, 50 Center St., Ellenville, NY,

and which lease agreement will expire June 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Family Services, Inc., wishes to continue leasing their office

space for an additional three (3) year term commencing July 1, 2016 through June 30,

2019, at the annual cost of $1,080.00, to include all utilities; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the County of

Ulster to continue leasing office space at Trudy Resnick Farber Center, 50 Center

Street, Ellenville, NY to Family Services, Inc. for a three (3) year term commencing

July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019, at an annual cost of $1,080.00, with all utilities

included; now, therefore be it 

 

 RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Family Services, Inc., 29 N. Hamilton

Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY, to lease 108 square feet of office space at Trudy Resnick

Farber Center, 50 Center St., Ellenville, NY for the Ulster Prevention Council, for a

term of three (3) year commencing July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019, at an annual

cost of $1,080.00, in a form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature

or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

and moves its adoption.
