Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-11(O) of the Ulster County Charter and

Sections A2-5(15) and A3-4 (X) of the Administrative Code, the Ulster County

Legislature shall have the power to approve the execution of certain contracts and

amendments in the amount of $50,000.00 or in excess of $50,000.00 entered into by

the County; and

 WHEREAS, a contract for execution by the County with Highway

Rehabilitation Corp has been submitted for approval by the Ulster County

Legislature, which is described below:

WHEREAS, the amount of $425,000.00 has been appropriated in the 2016

Ulster County Budget for various highway projects and additional funding will be

provided by the New York State Consolidated Local Street and Highway

Improvement Program (CHIPS) for various highway projects; and

WHEREAS, said contract has been reviewed by the Contract Manager,

County Attorney’s Office, Director of Purchasing, and the County Executive; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that any price-per-unit paid pursuant to this contract shall not

exceed those prices-per-units provided for in contracts offered by the New York State

Office of General Services Procurement Services; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the aggregate amount paid pursuant to the contracts approved

by Resolution Nos. 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, and 138 shall not exceed those amounts

appropriated in the 2016 Ulster County Budget and allocated by CHIPS; and, be it

further 

 

RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature has examined the contract, and

hereby approves the contract in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County

Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney and Legislative

Counsel,

and move its adoption.

Legislator Gerentine motioned, seconded by Legislator Maio, to amend the resolution

by striking the words “per-unit” and “per-units” in the first RESOLVED.
