Referred to: The Public Works and Capital Projects Committee (Chairman Fabiano
and Legislators Greene, Litts, Loughran, and Maloney), and The Ways and Means
Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Allen, Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs,
Maio, and Maloney)
Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and
Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on
behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the project will repaint all exterior surfaces at 17 Pearl Street;
and
WHEREAS, the expenditures in the amount of $50,000.00 for 17 Pearl Street
Painting was approved in the 2016 – 2021 Capital Program; and
WHEREAS, the project is needed to refurbish paint delamination, fading and
discolorations in order to maintain the integrity of the building’s exterior masonry
walls and wood trim, as well as, to increase the value and aesthetic appearance; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project
No. 471 be established and funded in the amount of $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated April 20 the County of
Ulster adopted a Type II List in accordance 6 NYCRR Part 617.5(b) of the State
Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature hereby determines, pursuant to its
adopted SEQRA Type II List, that the Project constitutes a Type II action as defined
under Section 2.2.1, and in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617.5(a) of SEQRA, the
Project will not have a significant impact on the environment and no further
determination or procedure under SEQRA is required; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 471 be established for the repainting of
17 Pearl Street; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2016 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as
follows:
