Maio, Maloney, and Richard Parete)

Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the project expenditures in the amount of $319,000 for the

County Vehicle Fleet, were approved in the 2015 – 2020 Capital Program; and

WHEREAS, these fleet acquisitions are needed to replace existing vehicles

because of extensive rust and corrosion and as such are not cost effective to repair;

and

WHEREAS, the project is established to purchase One Handicap Caravan at a

cost of $65,000.00 for the Veterans Service Agency, Two Ford Fusion Hybrids at a

cost of $72,000.00 for the Health Department, Two Ford Fusion Hybrids at a cost of

$72,000.00 for the Department of Social Services, One Large Chevrolet Impala

Sedan at a cost of $ 25,000.00 for the Probation Department, Two Ford Transit Cargo

Vans at a cost of $50,000.00 for Buildings & Grounds, One Ford F-250 Pick-Up

Truck for Buildings & Grounds at a cost of $35,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project

No. 457 be established and funded; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 457 be established for the purchase of

replacement of County vehicles during the year 2015; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2015 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as

follows:

HH.1997.0457-2100.2140 Capital Project No. 457 $319,000.00
