Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services

Committee, David B. Donaldson, and Deputy Chairman Mary Wawro offer the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of Ulster County Community College; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature established Capital Project No.

405 – SUNY Ulster Renovation of Kelder Center and funded the project in the

amount of $383,258.00 by Resolution No. 94 dated March 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the project by $141,256.00, bringing

the total project cost to $524,514.00; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees approved Resolution #14-4-64 approving

amending Capital Project No. 4065 in the amount of $141,256.00, to repair and

renovate the Kelder Center (house and an addition); and

WHEREAS, the $524,514.00 total Capital Project cost to renovate the Kelder

Center would be divided as follows: $262,257.00 SUNY Construction Fund;

$141,314.00 College Foundation; $73,714.00 NYSERDA; $47,229.00 SUNY Ulster;

and $0.00 Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, this renovation of an existing structure constitutes a Type II

action under section 2.2 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality

Review Act (SEQRA) Type II List that was adopted by Resolution No. 118 on April

20, 2010; and

WHEREAS, as per section 3 of the County’s Type II List, this action does not

pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II

action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Capital Fund is hereby amended as follows:
