Briggs, Gregorius, Maio, Maloney and R. Parete)
Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and
Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on
behalf of the Department of the Environment; and
WHEREAS, in 2010 a comprehensive energy audit of Ulster County
Buildings identified an energy savings opportunity at the Ulster County Law
Enforcement Center by upgrading the existing lighting system to include occupancy
sensors, controls and high efficiency lighting ; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature adopted the 2015-2020 Capital
Program which included “Ulster County Law Enforcement Center Lighting” at a
total cost of $87,174.00; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 239 of July, 2015 established Capital Project no.
456 in the amount of $12,237.00 to analyze lighting and efficiency opportunities and
retrofit and install energy efficient and environmentally conscious fixtures; and
WHEREAS, due to additional project costs it is now necessary to amend
Capital Project No. 456 for an additional $5,000.00; and
WHEREAS, based upon an examination by the Ulster County Legislature, the
County’s undertaking of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under
Sections 2.21 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act
(SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated
April 20, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Ulster County has determined that this action does not pose a
significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II action
in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not require any further
determination or procedure under SEQRA; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 456 Ulster County Lighting Controls
for Ulster County Law Enforcement Center is hereby amended as follows:
